Our overall Nursery aims:

 

· To meet with all Ofsted Statutory requirements and incorporate the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework at all times

 

· To recognise that each child’s individual needs and safety are paramount and must override all other considerations

 

· To provide a safe, clean, happy and stimulating environment so that each child can learn as s/he plays

 

· To provide caring, qualified  professionals, meeting individual support and attention for each child and social and emotional needs, ensuring their overall well being

 

· To ensure diversity and equal opportunities for children’s needs taking into consideration culture or religion, family background, learning difficulties or disability, gender or ability, enabling all  children to appreciate others, the world around them, make friends and preparing them for    Primary School

 

· To provide equipment that is especially selected to offer a range of challenging,  yet fun,       experiences for each child

 

· To extend a warm welcome to parents/carer’s and support the children’s families, encouraging those who wish to become involved with the Nursery in various ways

 

· To work with and alongside outside Agencies and to include all Stakeholders of the setting

 

 

 

We are registered with King’s Lynn & West Norfolk Health & Safety Executive who have inspected and approved the setting along with our Health & Safety Policy which applies to all children, parents,     carers, visitors and staff alike.  We take steps to ensure that all reasonably practical precautions are taken to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all individuals visiting, working and using the       premises.

 

To achieve this we actively work towards the following objectives:

· Establish and maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the building which is cleaned on a daily basis

· Establish and maintain a practical and safe environment throughout the building performing risk assessments on a regular basis

· Establish and maintain safe working procedures amongst staff, children, visitors, visiting     agencies and volunteers

· Make arrangements for ensuring safety and the absence of risks to health in connection with the use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances

· Ensure the provision of sufficient information, instruction and supervision to enable all people working in or using the Nursery to avoid hazards

· Encourage staff to contribute positively to their own safety and health at work and to ensure that they have access to health and safety training as and when required/provided

· Maintain a safe and healthy place of work and safe access to all alike

· Formulate effective procedures for use in case of fire and other emergencies and for evacuating the Nursery  premises
